As you all know, Kerala continues its fight against Global Pandemic Covid-19 utilizing its every resource. Urgent priority is to vaccinate every individual over 18 years. Kerala has declared to provide Vaccine for all of its residents free of cost to build herd immunity and contain the spread of this virus. Let’s ensure money doesn’t get in the way in vaccinating the people of Kerala
To vaccinate each person, it costs Rs.800 or ~$11 for 2 doses. You may donate any amount, even if it’s a single dose of vaccine. No amount is too small.
To continue Kerala Government’s efforts to fight against deadly Pandemic COVID-19, we request you to generously make contribution to CMDRF. Like our efforts during the Kerala Flood and previous wave of Covid-19, you can donate the money to Care & Share and we’ll facilitate transferring to CMDRF. Care & Share is a 501 (c) 3 organization. Your donation is both tax exemption and company matching eligible in the US.

Companies usually match donations. When an employee makes a donation, they can request a matching from their employer. Company matching means that if you donate $10, your company will also donate $10 towards the cause. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio.
Step 1: Login to your employer matching website such as Benevity.
Step 2: Search for the non profit, "Care and Share". Please check to make sure it matches EIN 36-3708966 before making your donation

1. Q: How long do you plan to run this campaign?
A: We will run this till May 31st, 2021. You may make monthly donations as well if you prefer to do so.
2. Q: Who do you plan to send the funds to?
A: We will be wiring the raised funds to CMDRF (Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund). https://donation.cmdrf.kerala.gov.in/
3. Q: When do you plan to send the funds?
A: We’ll make the first transfer Mid of May 2021 and then at the end of May 2021.
4. Q: Have you worked with CMDRF before?
A: Yes, in 2018 and 2019 we worked extensively with CMDRF and channeled more than $3.1 million. During earlier wave of Covid-19, we transferred over $56K to CMDRF. Please see https://www.careandshare.com/s/Newsletter-2020.pdf for more details.
5. Why should I use Care & Share?
Care & Share is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charity organization that focuses mainly on projects in Kerala. If you would like to take tax advantage or company matching, then you may go through us. 100% of the funds raised through this campaign will go towards CMDRF.
6. Q: Can I donate to Care & Share through my employer portal?
A: Yes. You should be able to find us with our EIN number 36-3708966 in your giving portal. Our registered office is in Lockport, IL 60441. Whether you donated through GoFundMe or Facebook Fundraiser or employer portal, remember to request matching if your employer extends that benefit.
7. Q: What companies extend the benefit of matching for your dollars?
A: Microsoft, T-Mobile, Expedia, Google, Apple, Boeing, Nordstrom, Adobe, NVidia, Symantec, Accenture, eBay, Intel, Visa, Oracle, Juniper, Nike etc. This is not a complete list.
