March 23 a Pediatric camp (4th
and the 17th) was organized at Parekkat Rural Health
Centre, Panangad. Lakhsmi Hospital conducted the camp.125 chidren
attended the camp and got screened by Dr. Kr.Warrier, Dr.Indira,
Dr.Abraham and Dr.Rema of Lekshmi Hospital. Free medicines were
distributed and necessary lab.tests were also arranged free of cost.
There were no camp during April.
On May 11, a multi-specialty camp was
organized at South Parvoor (5th –18th)
with the assistance of YMCA Udayamperoor. 450 patients attended. 14
were selected for free cataract surgery
137 glasses were distributed free of
charge (on 15th June)
On May 18, an eye camp( 6th
–19th) was organized at Olicruz, Mulanthuruthy with
the assistance of Snehadooth Arts Club. 233 patients attended. 145
free eyeglases were distributed(on July 13)
3 patients were selected for free
cataract surgery.
On June 8 a multispeciality camp was held
at Mattanchery (7th –20th)with the assistance
of Islamic Youth Servants Society. 421 patients attended. 233 were
given free glasses. 10 were selected for free cataract surgery.
On 17th June a reception was
arranged to Mr.,Kuriakose Mathews, Vice President, Care&Share USA
and his family at Hotel Prasanth, Tripuithura, Members of the
Chapter and officials including Vice President Dr.Sachidananda
Kammath participated.
On July 1, the students at the LKG and UKG
classes in the Vocational Higher Secondary School Panagad were
medically screened by the Pediatrician Dr,Indira of Lekshmi
Hospital as per the program launched for School children by Care
and Share Kerala Chapter
On Aug 24, an eye camp (8th
camp of the year and 21 in the series)was held at Manjummal, Eloor.
369 attended. 97 were given glasses
(on12th Oct.). 14 were selected for free cataract surgery.
On Aug.31 an eye camp (9th –22nd)
was organized at the Pullepady Orphanage with the assistance of
Islamic Youth Servants Society. 378 children under varying age
attended. 87 were given free glasses sponsored by IYSWS (12th
Oct). 3 were selected for free cataract surgery
On Nov.2, a multispeciality camp (10th
–23rd) was organized with the assistance of SS
Kalamandir, Ekm. 160 patients had vision check-109 got diabetes
checked up-38 women underwent cancer detection-36 got examination
for Kidney problem-18 children were screended by Pediatrician=and
136 were seen by Physician for General Medicine. Dr.Georgy K.Nainan,
Dr.Ramananda Pai, Dr.A.R.Prabhu. Dr.Roshan George..Dr.Sankari
Sheneoy worked in the camp as camp specialists.
27 free glasses were given (on 21st
Nov). 2 were selected for cataract surgery
